Hello fellow Ignitors 
If you’re curious as to why does it show Rookie/Catalyst or Sparketeer (for Coherent employees) next to your name or just unsure of what are all the other icons (badges) you could earn to display on your profile, this article should help explain them all better.
At Ignitors, we’ve got both — Ranks and Badges — as a way to recognize and reward users for their contributions and engagement within the community.
Ranks
Think of them as trust levels that signify your standing or experience within the community.
| Ranks | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Rookie | You’ll start here when you’ve just joined the community |
| Catalyst | As you start engaging by either creating a post (asking questions) or replying to someone else’s conversation |
| Brainiac | For having answered a few of the questions asked along with engaging the community in general |
| Fanatic | By this point, you’d have lived on the platform long enough while simultaneously helping others and meaningfully contributing within Ignitors |
Some of the employee-only ranks are below —
- Sparketeer
- Community Manager
While you can have unlimited Badges assigned to your profile, you can only have one Rank.
Badges
These would be a way to display all the achievements or milestones that you earn on Ignitors. Badges would be awarded for specific actions, accomplishments, or expertise demonstrated by you which can also serve as a form of recognition and will be displayed on your profile.

 | You’ve started engaging in the community either by creating topics or replying in comments |
 | You've got an inquisitive mind and ask meaningful questions |
 | You're a problem solver who’s successfully answered a whole bunch of questions |
 | You are a great socializer who engages in meaningful conversations with fellow Ignitors |
 | You know more about Coherent than most people |
 | You're full of bright ideas! |
Certification badges

 | You've completed our Business User Certification course. |
 | You've completed our Tech User Certification course. |
 | You've completed our Admin User Certification course. |
